SOPHIA KIM

Founder & Co-President

Sophia is a second-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Sophia was an Associate at the direct private equity group of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where she focused on investments across diversified industrials and business services sectors. Sophia interned at Apollo Global Management this past summer. Sophia graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto with a B.Com. in Finance & Economics and is a CFA charterholder.

ANU GUPTA

Co-President

Anu is a second-year MBA student at Wharton. This summer, Anu interned at Parnassus Investments as a Research Associate focused on ESG Investing. Prior to Wharton, Anu was a Research Analyst at Mellon Investments covering international Semiconductor and Semiconductor Capital Equipment companies. She previously also covered Consumer Staples companies. Anu graduated magna cum laude from Wharton with a BSe and concentrations in Finance and Operations, Information, and Decisions.

SAMANTHA SCHIFF

Co-President

Sam is a second-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton She worked on the investment teams at Achieve Partners and Sycamore Partners, where she invested in education and consumer companies. Previously she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in Morgan Stanley's Global Power & Utilities Group. Sam graduated with honors from Dartmouth College in 2015, where she played four years of varsity lacrosse.

BONNIE WANG

Bonnie is a second-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Bonnie worked on the High Yield Credit Research team at J.P. Morgan, where she focused on the media and automotive sectors. Previously she worked as a credit analyst at Barclays’ Special Asset Management team, analyzing distressed credit as an industry generalist. Bonnie graduated with honors from Wharton with a B.S. in Economics and a Concentration in Finance.

Aimee Xu is a second-year student pursuing an MBA at Wharton and MA in International Studies at the Lauder Institute with a concentration in East and Southeast Asia. Prior to Wharton, Aimee was an associate at Goode Partners, a consumer-focused growth equity fund based in New York City. She started her career in the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Coverage Group at J.P. Morgan. This past summer, Aimee interned at True Beauty Ventures, a beauty and wellness focused venture fund. She graduated with a degree in Finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Xiufang is a second-year MBA student at Wharton, majoring in finance and real estate. Xiufang interned at Jaguar Growth Partners this past summer where she focused on investments in real estate developers and operators. Prior to Wharton, Xiufang was a senior project manager at Office for Visual Interaction. Xiufang graduated from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China with a Bachelor of Architecture.

NANTHINI KUMARARAJAN

Nanthini is a second-year student pursuing a joint MBA and MA in International Studies at The Wharton School and at The Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Wharton, Nanthini worked at McKinsey and Company in the London office, where she worked on strategy and corporate finance projects in Europe and Africa, with a focus on consumer, education and social impact. She also has operating experience, as she did a secondment at M-KOPA, a leading growth-stage fintech start-up in East Africa. Nanthini graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Management.

Pianpian Adelson is a second year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Pianpian was a Senior Associate in the Investor Relations and Product Management Group at Ares Management. Prior to Ares, she was an Associate in the Investor Relations team at EQT Partners. Pianpian began her career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York. Over the summer, Pianpian worked in the Client and Product Solutions team at Apollo Global Management in New York, where she will be returning full time. She graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics.

MICHELLE ARIFIN

Michelle Arifin is a second-year student pursuing an MBA at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Michelle progressed her career at General Electric Company and often worked with C-Suite clients. She started off in the finance department and transitioned to Business Development. Most recently, she was GE Renewable Energy’s Regional Marketing Leader for Asia Pacific. She is currently the EVP of Student Affairs of the Wharton Graduate Association where she oversees academics, careers, student life and social events. This past year, Michelle established her own Event Planning and Travel Advisory called ARIMICO. She graduated with a degree in Management from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

MADELINE DONOGHUE

Maddie is a first-year MBA student at Wharton. Most recently, she worked as a Direct Lending Senior Associate at First Eagle Alternative Credit, where she focused on investment opportunities primarily in the healthcare and technology sectors. Prior to joining First Eagle Alternative Credit, she worked as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Maddie graduated from the University of Southern California in 2016 with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Finance.

Archana Vashist is a first-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, she was an Investment Associate with Sagana, where she focused on ed-tech investments across SEA and East Africa. Prior to Sagana, she was a project leader with Bain & Company’s PE practice, focusing on North America. As an international consultant, she has also established an incubator hub to support early stage ag-tech companies in Ethiopia.  She graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

Stephanie Michael Silva is a first-year MBA student at Wharton and MA in International Studies student at the Lauder Institute (Latin America Spanish Focus). Prior to Wharton, she worked in Private Equity at MLC, co-investing in fintech, software, consumer, healthcare and industrials deals across the US, Europe, Australia and Asia. Stephanie completed a pre-MBA internship at L’Attitude Ventures, a seed/Series A fund focused on technology. In addition, she participated in LatinxVC’s inaugural fellowship and advised a Brazilian fintech startup. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in Finance at the Kenan-Flagler Business School and Public Policy.

Arianna Chang is a first year MBA candidate at the Wharton School. Prior to Wharton, Arianna worked at Morgan Stanley as a part of the Eagle Team within the Private Wealth Management Division. She focused on advising ultra-high net worth clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
At Wharton, Arianna represents her classmates as the Class of 2023 Custer 3 President and serves on the boards of the Women’s Rugby Team and Family Business Club. Arianna graduated magna cum laude from NYU’s Stern School of Business with a concentration in Finance and Management and a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.

Elizabeth is a first-year MBA student at The Wharton School. Previously, she was a Senior Associate on the Investor Relations team at Lindsay Goldberg, a New York-based private equity firm that has raised ~$17 billion of capital across five funds and focuses on partnering with family-owned and founder-led businesses. In this role, Elizabeth was responsible for supporting Lindsay Goldberg’s fundraising and reporting initiatives as well as leading the firm’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Program. Prior to joining Lindsay Goldberg, Elizabeth worked in wealth management at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor Associate (FAA). Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Wellesley College in 2013.

Prior to Wharton, Natasha worked on the shareholder engagement team at Ceres, a sustainability non-profit with an institutional investor network that focused on climate change. Natasha graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Earth & Environmental Sciences and History.

Lisa is a first-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Lisa worked as a management consultant at BCG, where she focused on CPG, retail and entertainment, and worked on strategic as well as data-driven projects, such as pricing and zero-based budgeting. Lisa graduated summa cum laude from a dual degree program at ESB Business School (Germany) and Universidad de las Américas (Mexico) with a B.Sc. in International Management and a B.A. in Business Administration.
